Harvest Hope Food Bank will now be able to offer 22,850 more meals to central South Carolina’s hungry, thanks to a $5000 donation from the DuBose family of companies.

The DuBose family of companies includes DuBose Web Group, Research Associates, The Evaluation Group, and Columbia Conference Center. CCC recently launched a community service initiative fueled by the efforts of the four DuBose companies, combined with those of several Westpark office park peers and local hotels.

“As a venue that relies so much on the trust and support of our local customers, it is both our pleasure and our responsibility to give back to the community that has helped make us a success,” said Kim Inman, vice president of Columbia Conference Center.

Harvest Hope is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that serves 20 counties in the Midlands, Pee Dee, and Greater Greenville areas of South Carolina. Demand for Harvest Hope’s emergency food services increased by 15% from the fiscal year 2009 to 2010, with over 2 million people seeking assistance from the organization.

“It’s part of our companies’ mission to improve lives,” said Blake DuBose, president and owner of DuBose Web Group. “With so many people struggling right now, this seemed like a great opportunity to us.”
