Columbia Conference Center Gets “Greener”…with Grease!

(COLUMBIA, SC—July 28, 2011)

Building on its already successful recycling program, Columbia Conference Center will soon become even “greener” by recycling even its used kitchen oil!

CCC has enlisted the services of Coastal Biodiesel Group, a southeast-based company that has created the first “Green Grease Certification” program in the United States. Starting in August, all of CCC’s used cooking oil will be collected by Coastal Biodiesel Group for conversion into environmentally-friendly alternative fuels.

CCC’s president, Mike DuBose, said, “Part of our mission as a corporate family is to ‘create opportunities to improve lives.’ Recycling is a way to serve that mission because it not only helps the environment now, but preserves it for future generations.”

Along with Research Associates, the Evaluation Group, and DuBose Web Group, all of which are housed in its 40,000 square foot facility, CCC launched its recycling program in October 2007. In addition to its new oil recycling capabilities, CCC already recycles cardboard, plastic, and aluminum through a partnership with Sunoco Recycling.

Columbia Conference Center was built in 2003 and is located at 169 Laurelhurst Ave., Columbia, SC 29210. For more information, visit www.columbiameetings.comor call 803-772-9811.
