Columbia Conference Center Wins ConventionSouth Magazine’s Readers’ Choice Award for 7th Straight Year
Columbia Conference Center was selected again in 2011 as a ConventionSouth magazine Readers’ Choice Award winner—an honor attained by only 160 other meeting facilities in the entire region. According to ConventionSouth editor Marlane Bundock, “Out of the thousands of meeting sites found throughout 14 states in the South, these award-winners represent a prestigious class that meeting and event planners—our readers—deem worthy of recognition.”
Meeting and event planners throughout the United States were asked to name convention and visitors bureaus, conference centers, hotels, resorts and other meeting sites that display exemplary creativity and professionalism to groups. Nominations were received throughout the year and the top picks were selected via online voting.
Kim Inman, Vice President of CCC, said, “Our goal is to be the best conference and meeting facility in the state. With every event we host, we want the customer to feel like they are our only client. This award reflects our goals of continuous improvement, high-quality service, and going the extra mile for every customer.”
Columbia Conference Center is a 40,000 square foot facility that was built in 2003 and is owned by Mike and Debra DuBose. It is located at 169 Laurelhurst Ave., in Columbia, SC, at the intersection of I-20 and I-26 between St. Andrews and Piney Grove Roads.
